After a young boy collapsed at home with a cardiac arrest a few months ago in Emsworth, the community came together and with the help of the Foundation bought a defibrillator for the estate.  Thankfully a neighbour was a Doctor and was able to provide CPR and the boy made a full recovery but the incident brought home just how unpredictable SADS, and other life threatening conditions, can be.  Pictured below is the estate’s new life-saving defibrillator, fittingly attached to the young boy’s home!

We have already reported about the new defibrillator installed at The Ironmaster pub in Fareham in an earlier post but we have also supported the purchase of defibrillators for two other pubs locally.  In some instances local groups try to raise their own funds for a device to be fitted in their community but it’s not always easy and so we were pleased to help get them over the line and so we are pleased to say there are now defibrillators at both The Cuckoo Pint in Stubbington (pictured below) and The Three Tuns in Gosport.
